Day 1 : ARRIVAL KIGALI. DRIVE TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda in the morning, you will be assisted through the formalities and then handed over to your guide who will drive you to Parc National des Volcanoes. The journey goes through the beautiful, terraced hillsides that show much of Rwanda’s landscape, gradually climbing to the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes, sometimes with as many as five peaks visible. In the afternoon you will visit the Iby’Iwachu community where you have the banana beer/ wine making experience, the locals will also perform a traditional dance. Overnight in Volcanoes National Park.

Day 2 : GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING

Today you will go for golden monkey trekking in the bamboo forest. Trekking to see the golden monkeys is another highlight of Volcanoes National Park. The Golden Monkey (Cercopithecus Mitis Kandt) is a local subspecies of the widespread Sykes Monkey, also known as the “Blue Monkey” and is endemic to the high-altitude forests of the Volcanoes National Park area. The Golden monkeys are rare species listed as endangered. The monkeys are playful and inquisitive and often spend their time leaping from bamboo branches or frolicking on the forest floor towards the base of the volcanoes and have overcome their initial shyness to accept their daily visit by researchers and tourists. Day 3 : DRIVE TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK

Drive to Bwindi National Park crossing the Rwanda - Uganda Border along the way. The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. This fascinating mountain forest hosts chimpanzees and spectacular birds. There are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including Blue-throated Broadbill, bar-tailed Trogon and other beautiful forest species. Overnight in Bwindi.

Day 4 : GORILLA TREKKING AND DRIVE TO ISHASHA SECTOR

This morning, you will get up early. Trekking the mountain gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The adventure may span from 2 to 6 hours, but the rewards are truly remarkable. Your journey will be guided by an experienced ranger who will share fascinating insights about the flora, fauna and the captivating lifestyle of these incredible gorillas. Proceed to Ishasha Sector – is home to attractions of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Overnight in Ishasha Sector.

Day 5 : DRIVE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Morning game drive in search of the tree climbing lions and then drive to the Northern sector of the world-famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, crossing the equator along the way. Named after the late Queen of England, this is Uganda's most renowned and scenic game reserve. It spans from the crater-dotted foothills of the Rwenzori range in the north, along the shores of Lake Edward to the remote Ishasha River in the south, encompassing diverse habitats ranging from savannah and wetlands to lowland forests. In the evening you will have a scheduled boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. Overnight in & around Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 6 : MORNING GAME DRIVE, DRIVE TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Embark on an Early Morning Game Drive. There are over 100 mammal species that include Lions, Hippos, Buffaloes, Leopard, Spotted Hyena, Elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog in this park. The Primates include Chimps, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black faced Red Colobus, and Red-tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons. Return to the Lodge. In the afternoon, you will drive to Kibale Forest National Park. The forest has one of the highest diversity of primates in Africa totalling 13 species including the black-and-white colobus monkey, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkey, bush babies and pottos. Overnight in Kibale.

Day 7 : MORNING BIGODI SWAMP WALK AND AFTERNOON CHIMPANZEE TREKKING

Start the day with a guided walk through the Bigodi swamps. (Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary) is a community-run conservation area located 6km south-east of the Kanyanchu Visitor Center at Kibale National Park. Famous for exceptional biodiversity, it is home to over 200 bird species—including the Great-blue Turaco—and eight primate species, making it a prime destination for eco-tourists In the afternoon, you will track the most famous inhabitants of Kibale Forest National Park – the chimpanzees. The forest has one of the highest diversity of primates in Africa totalling 13 species including the black-and-white colobus monkey, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkey, bush babies and pottos. Overnight in Kibale.

Day 8 : DRIVE TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Proceed to the next highlight of your memorable tour in Uganda, going on to the beautiful Northwestern Uganda Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls National Park sits on the shore of Lake Albert, in northwest Uganda. It’s known for Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop. Park wildlife includes elephants and hippos, and there are chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest. The Lake Albert Delta is home to rare shoebill storks. Overnight in Murchison.

Day 9 : MORNING GAME DRIVE, AFTERNOON BOAT RIDE TO THE BOTTOM OF FALLS

After an early breakfast, proceed for a game drive. This is a beautiful drive across savannah, Borassus Palm Forest and grassland down to Lake Albert where the Albert Nile heads north. Drive in the open African savanna in search for Lions, Leopard, Hyena, Buffalo, Elephant, Jackson Hartebeest. Oribi, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, and enjoy spotting various Bird species such as the Secretary Bird, Black Chested Snake Eagle, Tawny and Marshal Eagles Carmine and Swallow-Tailed Bee-Eaters and many more. In the afternoon, go for a scheduled boat ride up the Nile, to Murchison falls, where the park derives its name. Enjoy these spectacular falls. Overnight in Murchison.

Day 10 : DRIVE TO ENTEBBE AIRPORT & DEPART

After an early breakfast, you will start your journey to Entebbe; Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be dropped off at the Airport to catch your departure flight out.

MEDICAL INSURANCE

Normal insurance charges for the duration of the tour are included in the tour price. However, any passenger above the age of 60 years and those passengers who wish to extend their stay will be required to pay additional charges.

Tips as applicable for the duration of the Tour has been included in the Tour Cost.

IMPORTANT

The tour will be operated, subject to a minimum of 12 full paying adult passengers traveling together.

Incase passengers want to travel on a particular date and the number of passengers booked are less than 11, there will be a Surcharge applicable on the said date to operate the tour. Kindly check with your Tour operator for the same.

 

 

YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION CERTIFICATE

A valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is officially required for travelers entering Uganda. The vaccine must usually be taken at least 10 days before travel for the certificate to become valid. The cost of the vaccination is not included in the tour cost and will need to be borne by the clients.

·       The cost of the Passport, POE charges, etc.

·       Any expenses of personal nature such as porterage, laundry, wines, mineral / bottled water, food & drink not in the regular menus provided by us, mini bar and telephone calls.

·       Any increase in the rate of exchange leading to an increase in all land arrangements which may come into effect prior to departure.

·       Meals are pre-set and a choice of menu is not available.

·       Arrival or Departure PCR – COVID test if required by the airline or Government bodies.

·       Cost of excursions, city sightseeing, entrance fees and local guides availed of by the passengers, other than that mentioned in the ‘What your tour price includes’.

·       Surcharges incase applicable on certain departure dates.

·       Government Service Taxes and other taxes as applicable.

·       Anything not specifically mentioned in ‘What your Tour Price includes’ box in your Tour Price includes box.

Notes

·       Gorilla Trekking, Chimpanzee Trekking, and Golden Monkey Trekking require permits in order to undertake these excursions. While we will make our utmost effort to secure the same, due to limited availability, permits will be subject to availability at the time of booking.

·       The thirdperson in a Triple room might not be provided with an extra bed or cot in some of the hotels, they may be provided only with a rollaway bed.

·       Triple rooms are subject to availability. In case Triple Rooms are not available at the hotel, the client will be provided with 01 Double Room + 01 Single Room at a supplementcost.

·       Due to Fire Safety Compliance regulations, 4 guests in 1 room are not allowed in any hotel, therefore 02 adults and 2 children or 3 adults and 1 child will not be accommodated in 01 room. A maximum of 03 persons can be accommodated in a room.

·       Panoramic / Orientation city tour means view from your coach of the sights and monuments as you drive past. No visit to the sights/monuments and no photo stop might be provided.

·       Due to operational issues on some days, there might be packed meals offered.

·       Kindly note that the tour routing could change due to unavoidable circumstances. In some tours, there is also a possibility that the tour could operate in reverse itinerary. However, you will not miss any sightseeing or excursions that are mentioned in the itinerary.

·       Due to local events / operational reasons, etc. there may be a change in the departure dates. The same will be advised prior to departure.

·       Services of our Tour Manager or local representatives will be available while on tour.

·       Certain sightseeing and excursions may not operate on public holidays.
